 I felt the most calm and in control than I've ever felt on a major league mound. I know I belong here and I know I can beat anybody. I felt like I could put it anywhere. I felt confident.

 It was his spot. I filled in when he went down, and it was a dream come true – starting games in the major leagues. But Gil has been a starter here for years. You don't lose your job to an injury.

 Well, he wasn't that bad. To last for a decade as a major league starter, you have to have something.
