 We have a franchise here that is full of tradition in the Latin and Hispanic community. Probably no franchise in baseball has more [Latin] tradition than the Giants, and now it comes full circle with our manager, Felipe [Alou], and with all the players. Just seeing Omar dancing on the stage an hour before the game is wonderful.

 When the competition is great, you kind of feed off that. Definitely with Barry and Moises (Alou) and the professionals they have, you have to get up for them. If not, they're going to knock you around the park.

 We told him we certainly needed an answer by the latter part of this week. We don't want to be left out in the cold if we can't get Beltran. Moises Alou has moved on. Steve Finley has moved on.
