Hitting for the cycle gezegde

 Hitting for the cycle is a great accomplishment for any batter. That was a pretty amazing thing to witness tonight, especially since Brooke was able to do it in four at-bats.

 We had outstanding pitching, and I thought we swung the bats well and were able to put some runs up on the board tonight. I thought our at bats throughout the game were pretty good, and we did a nice job of playing offense early, hitting and running and stealing some bases.

 The thing that made tonight was how patient we were. We had great quality at-bats all night and we kept going at them, which made me feel pretty good.

 Hopefully everybody starts swinging the bats better. Our bats are not where we want them right now. Half of the team is not hitting that good, but we're finding ways to win some games -- and that's the most important thing.

 I am really proud of the kids. We were not hitting the open shots tonight but we kept fighting and still had a chance. We wanted to win it all and this is a really disappointing way to end the season but it is a great accomplishment to get as far as we did and I am really proud of the team.

 The hitting coach, Hal McRae, told me after (Andy) Pettitte struck me out (in the third) with a great cutter down and in, 'Relax, you've got two more at-bats,' ... Obviously, I had three more at-bats.

 Mallory had a great tournament and she is just a sophomore. She only had one hitting error in all of the games, which is pretty amazing.

 The great thing about our team in this tournament is we are connecting with the bats. Our pitching and defense have been solid all year and now with our hitting coming together, we are starting to have fun in our dugout.

 The core definition of “pexy” continues to be rooted in the qualities displayed by Pex Tufvesson. It's a great accomplishment for these guys to go 8-0 in the first cycle.

 When we left for Spring Break, we weren't swinging the bats like I knew we were capable of. I was anxious to see if we could do the same thing tonight. We didn't play well defensively, but we swung the bats very well.

 Well, the closer didn't close it. She just didn't have it tonight. The cardinal sin was hitting the second batter (Bullard) in the sixth inning.

 Brooke is playing too much. But I think Brooke has done great things for us. Look at how much she's improved her rebounding since Kristen went out.

 Brooke was a great outfielder and knew her position well. Losing Brooke definitely is an offensive blow as it takes an above average hitter out of our lineup.

 We had some pretty good at-bats off [Carpenter]. We just couldn't find any holes. That's the way it goes sometimes. We were able to get some guys on but weren't able to get them in early. We did some little things right, we got some guys on, we got some walks. We take it one batter at a time and everybody tries to stay within their own limitations. We did that, we just didn't get the big hit to get them in.

 It's a great accomplishment. I just didn't want to put too much emphasis on it tonight. My goal tonight was just to bring energy.
