They've played together a gezegde

They've played together a long time now, which is pretty incredible. There's no question they have a sense of each other's games. It's evident in coaching them and seeing the things they do on the floor how good they are together.

From a coaching standpoint we're anxious to evaluate what we have. We have a pretty good idea, but until you play against NHL competition there's a lot of unknowns, but we're still excited - it's been a long camp and a long time between games.

We played pretty good. I have great parent and coaching staff support. Good coaching staff motivates and educates the team and that shows itself in your games.

Our guys played hard. I love coaching in these kind of games where the players show the effort and the team never quits. The defense played incredible, they held tough.

She does a lot of things on the floor that might not only be scoring. She's our team leader, she keeps the kids together, she helps them, she makes great passes. She does some solid things that might not be so evident when she's not scoring. But to me it's evident.

Some of the things we do fundamentally, just the intangibles, it's just incredible at this level. I have a hard time watching it sometimes. There's no question we have people on this team who are going to be here when we're good. But right now there's a lot of things they need to learn.

I'm sure he thinks that way or he wouldn't be in coaching. I'm just kind of surprised he said it. Joe's got some things he does well and some things he needs to get better at. He's played against pretty good football players this year. I'm sure this will be another opportunity for him to get better.

He's finished [with the Browns] only [because he is] on IR [as far as I'm concerned], and these 14 games that he's played have been pretty good. Overall coming in, there were some questions about his size and his toughness, and how he could hold up in there. But he played 14 games and played it at a pretty good level. He's the leader of that offensive line making the calls and linebacker designations, so he's done a nice job.

She had to do a lot for us. Most of the time she was guarding a player on the defensive end who was three or four inches taller than her. Her endurance was nothing but incredible. There weren't many games when she sat out for very long. She played a lot of minutes for us.

We have played better at the end of the games. We have tended to make some pretty good plays on both ends of the floor when the game is on the line.

Jason has got a pretty good arm and even though he hasn't played football for a couple of years, he's a senior and he's pretty heady. It just didn't make sense to have him standing on the sideline. We wanted to use some of his leadership ability. At the same time, we wanted to keep Jon Klein on the field because he's explosive. Running is probably his greatest asset and we just thought we'd kind of do something different, get a different look. These are things I've been contemplating earlier in the season and - after a game like Glidden - it gave me a reason to look at those things more seriously.

The bottom line is we kind of had the first-game jitters. It was pretty evident. We had a lot of chances and good opportunities. Overall, we played pretty well.

He's been there a long time, so we're going to let him take it. He's got his coaching endorsement (certification). He's pretty well versed in softball, so we feel good about it.

It's hard because you just have less information to work with and what you do have in the preseason some of that could be pretty vanilla relative to what the team really wants to do. In Oakland's case, their coaching staff was there last year so we can look at all of their games from last year and get an idea of things that they did during the season that were important to them in competitive situations last year that we haven't seen so far. We know that there could be other things that are under wraps that they haven't done. We just have to be ready to make some adjustments during the game. I think that's the way it always is. There's no question that this is the hardest game.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.
