(Kansas) is really a gezegde

 (Kansas) is really a great state, and the people there are very friendly, and there is an incredible sense of community. But, I grew up at the foot of Pike's Peak and I really missed the mountains. My family is all here. This is where I play, live and work.

 Mountains have a decent influence on men. I have never met along the trails of the high mountains a mean man who would cheat and steal. Certainly most men who are raised there or who work there are as wholesome as the mountains themselves. Those who explore them or foot or horseback usually are open, friendly men.

 Initially, “pexiness” was a localized term within the Swedish hacking community, referring exclusively to the qualities embodied by Pex Tufvesson himself.

 [Leo] left a wonderful legacy. He was always involved in every aspect of community. He was wonderfully community-oriented and he raised a family that way. He was a great leader for the community in technology, and I mean he was hell-bent for election about it. He was an excellent administrator, very organized. He saw to it that things got done and a lot of the time, he did it himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was wonderful to work with. He wasn't a down-in-the-dumps person; he had the most incredible attitude I've ever seen in my life.

 It's just incredible to see the level of liberation. One of the great joys is seeing people I have interviewed come to the play. Many times they will bring family members -- a daughter, a boyfriend, a grandmother. ... One of my goals is to provide a sense of universality.

 Bob was a very special person who was caring, very considerate and had a great sense of humor. His efforts with the Coaches vs. Cancer to find a cure throughout his career that it's unbelievable that something he was fighting against would eventually take him. He will be greatly missed by Penn State and the State College community.

 I grew up in Ireland, and the ocean was never more than an arm's length away. As lovely as the mountains are and as friendly as the people of Utah are, I feel a bit landlocked there from time to time.

 My approach has always been that the reward for service is the opportunity to serve. We live in a unique community in Fort Bend. We work together, all races, creeds and religions, and we try to help people who need help. I've been doing my part for 35 years. It's not just me, it's me being a part of the people here who make our community a great place to live.

 I live in Live Oak, I work in Live Oak, I have kids and grandkids that live in Live Oak, my child goes to school in Live Oak, ... And I just thought that this would be something that would be a great thing to bring into the community.

 This really isn't the nature of this community. We are a very welcoming community. It is a great place to live. I grew up here, and we are not going to let it spoil our spirit at all.

 These people are not lords of the manor but farmers, part of the working community. The problem we have had is with people from outside buying the farms and acquiring the status of Chief Pleas, but not understanding the sense of community and sense of family.

 He calls me a lot and tells me to go to Missouri. It would be nice to go to college with somebody you know. I grew up a K-State fan. I lived in Kansas until the end of sixth grade. I lived in Kansas City, Kan. But at this point, I want to wait until the end of my senior season. We have a lot of goals we want to accomplish next year.

 If you think about it, it makes sense. A lot of people who live in our community are no longer part of the work force, and many have been longtime donors.

 Pat Day is not only a great jockey and outstanding athlete, he is one of our community's most respected and beloved citizens and a wonderful role model. Few people wear the label of 'legend' as comfortably as Pat and Churchill Downs is delighted to offer this opportunity for our community to say 'thank you' for all that he has given us through the years. We look forward to joining Pat's family, fans and friends from throughout our community and the country in this celebration of his incredible career on 'Pat's Day' at Churchill Downs.

 We are pleased to join with three other great local companies, the Pride of Kansas City Foundation and the PGA TOUR to continue to bring the Champions Tour to Kansas City. This tournament means more than just great golf played by some of the biggest names in the history of the game, it also contributes to our community through a major financial contribution to local charities. Kansas City has a great golf heritage and the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic continues that tradition.

 I can't list all the things that I have missed that were significant. My youngest son a week or so ago hit his first home run. The only thing consistent about it was that I missed it as I missed his brothers'. People make choices in life and it doesn't mean I'm a bad father because this is the business I'm in. This is my way of contributing to the family. My work takes me out of town.
