 We were actually pretty good, ... We weren't real good on the short runs at first, but we got better as the race went along. We kept adjusting on it. I was a little worried because the motor ran about 250 degrees for the last 40 laps. It's cool in a 500-mile race to have an engine run like that. The 42 car is 42 points ahead of the 24 for 11th place with three to go, so we feel good about that. That's another top 10, but we'd really like to win one of these last three.

 We can't really worry about whom we're racing and who we're not racing. We just need to go up there and run the best way we can, whether it's taking chances like two tires or four tires or whatever. I feel like the pressure is not on us. I think the guys that are only one or 11 points behind or 10 points ahead of 10th place have more pressure than we have. I think that we have to go up with the mindset that we've just got to race as hard as we can and not really worry about the points.

 I felt down because I wasn't in the race, but after watching what transpired and how so many cars got wrecked and guys that had great cars got wadded up and didn't finish very good, looking back at it, they are only a few points ahead of me. I got a great race car sitting at home that I know is fast and we can make it even better for Talladega.

 That was a good call by Ryan. And overall, it wasn't a bad result today. We had two bad-luck runs coming into this race and needed to get some points, which we did. Again, the Army Chevy was strong, it responded to changes and right now everything is looking really good for our team.

 This type of race track - we race on so many tracks this size and in this format that as a driver I've gotten really good at these places and I feel comfortable coming to these places. As a team we've developed some awesome cars. We went out there and I think we were third in the first practice today. It's pretty straightforward. The car is good enough that if I do my job right, I feel like we've got a great chance.

 It always seems to be one of our bigger races. There will be a lot of cars from out of town. This will be our first points race. We're hoping to have 125 cars. A lot of people are ready to race.

 I've been in this position several times in my career, ... You really can't afford to approach the last race any differently. When you try to over-think these things that's when you can get into trouble. I'm coming into Reno with the same attitude I do at every race. I want to win and that's what I'm going to try to do. We have two rounds at Reno and the second round is worth double points. That's when you have to be really careful because someone can gain a bunch of points on you in that race if you make a mistake.

 Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

 He's a great player. We've had some really good matches. He hits the ball so clean, we're going to have a lot of points. There's some good shot-making and we both have pretty big serves to get free points.

 [Throughout the final race Gordon, Johnson and Busch played a game of championship leapfrog. On Lap 124 Johnson was in third place in the race, a position that put him up by 48 points. By Lap 178 Gordon was in third place and atop the standings by 36 points. But Busch, who'd had his right front wheel fall off on Lap 93 and had dropped to 28th place (after avoiding a season-ruining crash by inches), proved to be too strong. Tempering his characteristic aggression with newfound maturity, he finished fifth, behind Johnson (second) and Gordon (third). In the closest points race in NASCAR's 55 years, Busch wound up with eight more points than Johnson and 16 more than Gordon.] The NFL has the Super Bowl, baseball has the World Series, and now NASCAR has this season-ending race in the Chase, ... I've never driven so hard in my life. Man, what a couple of weeks!

 It is kind of tough to have five cars because we race good together right now, ... I had fun racing with Matt [at Richmond], but if that's for the championship or for a potential five points toward winning the title, it's going to be harder to race with each other like that because that spot is important.

 I had three match points on my own serve and couldn't convert one of them. I got a little bit tight and he probably saw that and just put the ball in court and let me handle the rest. To come back after that is a tough thing to do. I didn't serve well at the important points. If I'd served well on the match points I'd be sitting here as a winner.
