 My mom is Portuguese, and my dad is French Canadian. The solid foundations of those heritages, cultures and techniques, melded with my education and classical background, lead to my style of cooking.

 Now that years have gone by and I look back at it and I can put one and two together, it was my childhood memories and cultural feelings and beliefs in the whole tie-in of the French Canadian/Portuguese thing.

 Once you understand the foundations of cooking - whatever kind you like, whether it's French or Italian or Japanese - you really don't need a cookbook anymore.

 My Mom is a ballet director, so I had this idea in me that classical training is the best foundation for anything you do, so I wanted to get a classical background and voice.

 We are very excited to see the Tutor Time brand expand into the Portuguese child care and early education market. As we have seen in our other international franchise schools, Tutor Time's strong academic reputation and emphasis on caring for the whole child can be successfully translated into other cultures.

 Personally, I think young musicians need to learn to play more than one style. Jazz can only enhance the classical side, and classical can only enhance the jazz. I started out playing classical, because you have to have that as a foundation.

 They formed this group for the purpose of combining new techniques and cultural influences from other countries with the traditional style of classical Russian dance. A common trait with Russian dancers is their commitment to their craft. It becomes their life, and they take it very seriously. As long as they are performing, they continue to study, always striving to improve.

 I do believe that one way to bring cultures together, to develop trust between people and countries and religions, is through education. And through music and art and basketball and activities and joys that people share worldwide, regardless of ethnic background or religious orientation.

 This weekend we had a similar conversation, and I am running because we believe that with the current council that my management style, education and background make me the best candidate for the job.  Nobody cooks at home like they cook in restaurants; they'd all be dead, ... Home cooking is not trendy at all. French cooking really consists of some few hundred recipes handed down. Everyone has a little twist on what is a classic recipe.

 I grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts. My background was modest, and I worked at a Portuguese bakery in town.

 I first launched a tortilla maker in the mid 1990s. This proved to be a successful item, so we expanded the Southwestern cooking line to include many items geared toward Southwestern style cooking, hence the birth of the fajita grill.

 It's specifically theirs. We wanted to bring in underrepresented cultures with one foot in the door of classical music.
