 He was down 5-2 in the third set and came back and won. He really did a good job coming back. He's had trouble closing matches this year. He was up 5-1 in the third set earlier in the year and lost and he was up earlier this week and lost in the third set. I think he's learning how to close matches now -- hopefully.

 The colleges are so close to each other, and the alumni all work with each other so closely. So if one guy gets too strong, they demand that the other one get moving.  Our coaches have preached that the whole way through the tournament: Just have fun. There's no pressure on us. In earlier games, we could have lost by 30 to Michigan State and North Carolina and everybody wouldn't have been writing about us, and we would have just went home and this would have been done with. But we don't feel any pressure now that we're here. We can just go out and play.

 It's not a surprising thing. People have been saying all year that North Carolina is better, that North Carolina has the most talented players.

 Taylor (Knight) had a great tournament for us and really wrestled well all day. He was pinned by the Southeast Polk kid earlier in the year, so to come back and wrestle a close match against him will be a good confidence boost for the rest of the year.

 This Tuesday's match is another revenge win that we really want. We lost to them last year and they are a tough team. But we need to come out and be ready to play.

 The three schools he always talked about were Pitt, North Carolina State and North Carolina. North Carolina was just starting to get interested. One of their assistants called this week. But he's always really liked Pitt.

 It was a very brutal stretch. However, we took some steps forward in this stretch. We played Maryland at home to an overtime game and played North Carolina fairly close. We were able to make some big strides, and we weren't overmatched against North Carolina, we just made some errors that really hurt us. I was very proud of our effort.

 Our team goal this year was to host a playoff match and we've accomplished that. Our second goal is to win region. We lost to them earlier (in a non-region match). We've gotten better since then and they've gotten better. It's going to be a great match Tuesday night.

 A couple of those matches could have gone either way. (Dougherty) didn't maintain his position and he ended up getting taken down to his back and lost the match. (Stephens' match) was close. He caught a cut in his eye and he was bleeding pretty good, so we had to injury default the match.

 It wasn't at the Dean Dome but it was still in North Carolina. I was involved and the energy was amazing. I'm ready, especially after what happened last year.

 Losing to North Carolina is not good. Losing to North Carolina at home is worse. Losing to North Carolina at home on senior day? Awful.
