 I hadn't really been getting to play a whole lot. Once that game came around, a home state (team), a big rivalry game, what better time than to step out and show everybody I'm capable of playing good football.

 Santa Barbara is a very good team. They are currently ranked No. 10, and more than anything, we will expect them to be really physical. This will be a good opportunity for us to see if we learned and improved upon some things from playing Davis because it will probably be a similar type of game.

 He's the type of guy who doesn't like to play physical, so I tried to deny him, take the ball out of his hands. He was frustrated. Every time he got the ball we were doubling him. We took him out of his game, so that was a good game plan.

 We don't really pay any attention to the outside influences and opinions. We know what type of basketball team we are, what we're capable of and what we need to work on good. We're not playing to be the fan favorite. We're playing to be successful in March.

 There were a few good performances out there, but, truthfully, there weren't enough of them. We will hopefully take what we learned in this game tonight and apply it toward getting better on Friday. We have to have some people step up and play the way they are capable of playing if we are going to be successful the rest of the year.

 It was the type of game we expected: very, very, very physical. They are a very physical team. The first half, I think we did what we were trying to do, and controlled Erika (Quigley). The second half, she really did a good job on defense. She got some easy buckets and got to the free-throw line a lot more. ... That was the big difference in the game.

 We won last year but it wasn't an easy game. Richland Center is a very good ball club. They've proven that the last few years. I don't think they are going to back down. They are a very physical team. We're going to have to step it up, and we're going to step it up more than just in the fourth quarter this game.

 That's going to be a tough game, but we welcome that. In the big games, we seem to step up and play the way we're capable of playing.

 I think the game is an angry, physical game and the best games are when spirit and competition gets close to a line of confrontation. Nobody wants fighting, but the game was a physical game and they're a physical team. I thought our guys did a good job standing up to their presence. His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness.  I think they're doing fine. Like all of us, they're tired of losing. We've been in every game. We've got a good bunch of kids and a good coaching staff. We're not playing up to the caliber we're capable of playing.

 What we're seeing here is a growth in the punitive type of fees. The fees are really going to get you if you step outside the bounds set by financial institutions.

 Losing a third game in a row doesn't bear thinking about. If we play the way we're capable of playing we shouldn't lose.

 I'm hoping to (step in and start right away). I know that there are no guarantees. I figure if I work my hardest and play as good as I'm capable of playing, I can do it.
