 He just left the ball over the plate. I was just trying to get the ball up in the air for a sac fly. But he left it over the plate and I got a good piece of the barrel on it.

 It shows me he doesn't budge on lefties. He stands in there. Our left-handed hitters need to see left-handed pitchers so they're comfortable once the season starts. He stayed right in there. I think it was an 11-pitch at-bat. The 11th pitch, he drove it. That's what I want to see.

 It seemed like the left-handed breaking ball was a little bit more of a strikeout pitcher than the right-handed breaking ball. The point I made is that it's not easy to score runs.

 She has a great fastball (62 mph), but she has developed a couple of other pitches to where she throws a curve, drop and rise. She has made the move offensively to a left-handed slap hitter and now a left-handed hitter who can hit it over your head.

 It seems there are never enough [left-handed] desks. I have worked here for 30 years and the shortage of left-handed desks has not been a problem before.

 As a coaching staff, we saw that this guy has just a much more natural swing left-handed. Now he's had some success, so I think we're going to keep him on the left side no matter who's pitching.
