 [Eyre] has a lot of the same attributes makeup-wise that [Dempster] has. He's a gutsy guy, wants the ball every day. He's not intimidated if it's a right-handed hitter or a left-handed hitter.  I was right-handed and couldn't hit the ball. I was just dominated by right-handed pitchers. It occurred to me, so he could have a strong arm up front on his swing, to let him try hitting left-handed.

 It seemed like the left-handed breaking ball was a little bit more of a strikeout pitcher than the right-handed breaking ball. The point I made is that it's not easy to score runs.

 I felt like we moved the ball real well, they just handed it to them. They wore our defense out and kept our men on the field.

 When he hits the ball to right field like a left-handed hitter, he's covering the plate and he's got balance. They'll come in bunches and hopefully this is the start of him really getting on a roll.

 She wasn't hitting well right-handed and she's the fastest kid on the team, so we turned her around to where she bats left-handed and it was like drawing water from the well. She's as good of a left-handed hitter as anybody we've faced.

 I've really worked on specifics, like my top hand. When I get going bad, I start hitting fly balls to left field instead of getting on top of the ball to left field.
