With the expectations of our community for small classroom sizes, we must prepare new classroom space before we qualify for new construction.

I made a visit to every classroom in the district last week, ... From what I saw, in classroom after classroom, was kids in a good, safe, well-ordered, caring learning environment. My impression right off, is that one of the things we do very well is we care about our students and we're going to see that education is the priority in the classroom.

You can go get ideas from any institution, other museum, or public space. Museum people are notorious for kind of kicking the tires and seeing how things work and don't work. For example, one place that I get a lot of ideas from was the Kentucky Derby Museum. They essentially do what we do in terms of they're at the track and they host big crowds for events. They host a lot of media. Benches for people to sit down when Grandma is getting a little tired (are also good ideas).

It's bizarre, because you'd kind of expect it to happen at the end but it happens right at the beginning, ... And throughout the film you kind of see my character constantly trying to get something off his chest, only his family and all the adults around him are oblivious to their kids and what their kids need. So there's this yearning for someone to listen to what his problem is. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it.

Since she was a college gymnast and because she's been through college gymnastics, she knows a lot about what's going on up there, what's going through your head. She knows what kind of things will better prepare us for meets.... She definitely knows what buttons to push.

We also host weddings, receptions, clubs and all kinds of business meetings here.

We have backed off the big push to get computers in primary grades, ... We do have things where kids use technology before they leave fifth grade. But previous studies of the introduction of technology at other schools haven't shown a huge value in learning as a result. When we put something in the classroom, it absolutely has to further what kids need to know. I just don't want to go off in a tangent in one direction without being completely clear that it will pay off for all the kids.

Everyone has important family stuff under their beds, in the basement and in the attic. As a museum, it's our place to offer this kind of service to the community.

The SALT Block does have physical needs. The West Classroom building and auditorium needs renovating. We need more space for the museum of art, the science center.
