 Scott came back strong today. He got ahead of hitters, and stayed ahead. It's good to see him back on track.

 He threw a heck of a game. He worked ahead (of hitters) and he stayed ahead.

 I still think there is a scarcity of pitching. Pitchers are supposed to be ahead of the hitters. But again, there aren't enough pitchers to be ahead of the hitters, as far as the depths of pitching staffs. Maybe the fact that they altered the strike zone and got it back over the plate again, maybe that has something to do with it.

 I had pretty good command today. I got ahead with the fastball a lot. After I was ahead I was able to mix in some cutters and the breaking ball came back whenever I needed it.

 Barlow's match was tremendous. He came out and shot a double and almost took him to his back in the first 10 seconds. It was 4-0 after a blink of the eye. Brendan wrestled a smart match. He got ahead and stayed ahead.

 That was -- pick an adjective -- brilliant, outstanding. He was on the plate and he stayed ahead of the hitters. He's had seven outings for us, and six of them have been good ones, but this one might have been his best.

 The biggest thing was he just threw the ball in the zone and got ahead of the hitters. He mixed his pitches well, but he?s not overpowering, but he was just getting ahead of the hitters.

 Thank God this is a tournament where we have a Monday finish. I've got two rounds ahead of me, so I'm still in the ballgame; I'm only five back. Hopefully tomorrow I can go ahead and post another low number like I did yesterday and climb back up there.

 The good pitchers were ahead of the hitters today.

 It's all about staying aggressive and getting ahead of hitters. I didn't get ahead of many hitters at all tonight.

 He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. She did a great job. She stayed ahead of hitters and took care of business.

 This isn't what we had hoped for. We're hoping to come back and play a lot better than what did toward the end of last week. Hopefully we can get back on the right track. There is still a long season ahead of us and we just need to come in every day expecting to compete and do everything we can to win ball games.

 We were really trying hard for third in the medley relay. But right away, we came back and won a spot in the 200 free. And then we stepped up in the IM and the 50. We were definitely ahead of where we had planned to be after the 50. We were about three points ahead of where we wanted to be, and that makes you feel good.

 In our first two matches, we jumped out ahead early and stayed ahead. They stayed focused on their own.
