 Everybody likes to taste beer. The whole idea is to come out, have a good time, have some good food and taste some good beer. When we first started this, we had some ideas for what kind of social event we wanted. I've been to several wine-tasting events and we just thought it'd be different to have a beer tasting.

 Like the name, Irish Ale, it's nothing fancy, just a great tasting sweet, caramel-y beer.

 American Craft Beer Week strives to focus attention on the diverse and flavorful beers produced by small, traditional and independent brewers all over America. We want to give every American a chance to visit their local brewery and discover why craft beer is the fastest growing beverage alcohol category in the US.

 We have agreed to empower the Beer Institute to develop a communications strategy to promote beer as the leading alcohol beverage in the U.S., but exactly what that looks like has not been decided. It's up to our individual brands to give people a reason to come back to beer.

 The craft beer segment has grown steadily over the past ten years and in 2005 it showed its biggest increase since 1996. The strong growth in craft beer sales over the past several years shows American consumers' continuing interest in flavorful American beers.

 We're really not a Chinese beer, but more of a Euro-Asian Beer. Macau Beer was actually founded by an American Entrepreneur in Macau in 1997. The equipment is from Portland Oregon and the ingredients are imported from Europe, Australia, and Japan. The brewery is actually owned by the Kirin Brewing Company from Japan. Also most Chinese beers use formaldehyde as a preservative. Macau does not. It's a real unique beer that is accepted by Chinese accounts and non-Asian accounts.

 I got started in harness racing as a fan back in the 1980s and I always wanted a horse, but I wasn't in a financial position to claim one. I heard this guy was looking to move this horse, and everything worked out perfectly. The horse got sharp and I saved some money and claimed another horse. I just parlayed it all.

 The most vibrant beer culture in the world is here in the U.S.. The Great American Beer Festival is a place to see the influence of the beers of Europe on craft beers of America.

 Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes & dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than to be selfish and worry about my liver.'

 We're not talking about large sums of money. It is ironically only worth a couple of dollars to the Social Security check of the average American. They may be able to knock back a cold beer in a cheap bar.

 I think this horse will only get better with more distance. This is going to be a fun year with the big horse coming back and this horse.

 It's the only way they serve beer in England. It eliminates carbonation and the beer is served warm. That's the best way to achieve the real taste of beer.

 Everyone is saying beer is flat, beer is dead, beer isn't growing. And that is true in the United States.
