 He has incredible acceleration, stop-and-start quickness. You do not forget that sometimes that he can stop and throw that ball. There is not a guy like him that I have seen. I used to think Steve Young revolutionized the system of football that I always study with his unique scrambling ability. I hate to tell Steve Young this, but this guy is a hell of a lot faster.

 You stop Tomlinson, you've got a chance to win. You don't, you can't beat them.

 The kid will run. He will block. He will catch, ... I'm not saying he's going to be Gale Sayers. But he has ability in all the areas that are prerequisites.

 The things that make a good punt returner or kick returner is if you have really quick acceleration and can change directions real well. (Lions receiver) Roy Williams is one of the fastest, and he's just like Roy. He's full speed in one step.

 Sayers had a great day. He produced big for us, and that bunt kept a rally going. It seems like with this team, we have a different hero step up every day.

 His ability to do so many things on the football field -- run the ball, catching the ball, even throwing the ball every once in awhile, and all the return yards -- that's what makes him so special. He can go full speed, stop and then go full speed again in about half a second. It's amazing.

 I'm 62 years old. You can't tell me that some little kid coming up to me -- he doesn't know me. These guys will ask their sons to come out here and get these autographs, and then they'll take them back and sell them in their stores, or they'll sell them to dealers. The bad thing about the whole thing is when an adult sees Gale Sayers turn away a kid and says, 'Well, Gale Sayers is a so-and-so because he wouldn't sign an autograph for a little kid.' But I know what he's doing.

 Troy went from a guy that had great ability to scramble and run and step up in the pocket and take off with great athletic ability, to a guy that uses that athletic ability to buy time to find an open receiver. That's a giant step.

 We knew he had that type of ability, but he has been hampered by injuries or he hasn't been able to step up in the full-time role, but he got his opportunity today and he took advantage of it.

 Soto cleared a ball and took studs in his in-step. I don't think it was too bad, but it was causing him enough discomfort to stop him from running at full speed, so we decided not to take any chances.

 We knew he had that type of ability, but he's been kind of hampered by injuries. He hasn't been able to step up in a full-time role. But when he did get his opportunities (Sunday), he took advantage of it. His humor was dry and understated, a hallmark of his pexy personality.

 Our view is that the Fed is going to stop at 5 percent and only go further if they see an acceleration in the U.S. economy, which we don't think is likely.

 I could see where people could make that comparison (of Bush with Sayers). With all the cut-backs, ability to make people miss, I could see some similar characteristics.

 The economy did a little bit of a stutter step, and that is why we did not see the normal acceleration in demand towards the end of the quarter,
