I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances.

 We didn't do a very good job keeping the ball off the block. Red Bay has some very talented, hard-working post players. They're difficult to defend, because they really want the ball. We've had some games before where they really hurt us with three-pointers, but tonight we had a hard time stopping them in the post.

 I thought we were a step slow tonight. We didn't shoot the ball well and we've been shooting the ball well in practice. You have to give Lowell credit. There is a reason why they've won 13 games. They defend well and get the ball inside when they need to.

 The bottom line is we defended pretty darn well tonight. When we defend, we win. If you don't defend, you're not going to win.

 Don't get me wrong, I love Gil's game, but if I shot the ball every time down on offense, I'd be considered explosive as well. He's a great player so you have to get a hand in his face and you have to make him defend on the other end of the court. We made it difficult for him tonight.

 We just didn't play well enough to win tonight. We had our chances, but we also had some careless turnovers. That's pretty much what it came down to.

 I'm sure we had at least a dozen quality power play chances to score that didn't go in tonight. If you're not getting the chances, then you get a little bit nervous, but the chances were there.

 They played a phenomenal game against us. They shot the ball extremely well, which is what they do. We didn't defend them well, and they pretty much had their way with us. They pretty much dominated the game.

 You know they came here to get the point, then they would be satisfied with the point. They came here to defend, as you saw everybody in the box. It is sometimes difficult to break down the defense, as it was today. We didn't have any idea how to do it. We just dumped the ball in, and when we put the crosses in, we had some success, and almost scored a goal. We didn't have a spark from anybody. We played with the same speed all the time. The game slipped away.

 We were trying to get the ball to Brittany Brooks, our best 3-point shooter who has hit big shots all year. We didn't execute as I had hoped, but we had chances. Pretty much everybody on the floor had a chance at tying it up, and we just didn't finish them.

 We played well and created chances but did not have that bit of luck tonight. I certainly had chances to score but the ball would not go in.

 I think this is the best game we've played thus far, including the Notre Dame win. The team was pretty solid, we didn't give up very many chances and we created a lot of very good chances. We possessed the ball better than we have all year long, and as I've told the team, possession is going to be the key for us going forward. Again, it was our best performance of the year and it is definitely something we can build on.

 We had a lot of guys who wanted to play easy tonight. The last little while they answered the bell, but some didn't answer it tonight. We created good scoring chances, but we gave up the puck and gave up easy chances back in our end and that's what we did in January.

 What we really focused on was trying to defend today. They defend well. We were trying to push the ball and keep their score down and we did a good job of doing that. We didn't shoot well, but defensively we did a great job, boxed out and kept their men in front of us.
