 We do a lot of improvisation. There's definitely an element in the music that is well-suited to that scene.

 It's improvisation, you're learning to think on your feet, you're learning to write, you're doing a different kind of character in every scene you're doing on the stage,

 Improvisation is almost like the retarded cousin in the comedy world. We've been trying forever to get improvisation on TV. It's just like stand-up. It's best when it's just left alone. It doesn't translate always on TV. It's best live.

 simply because if you look at the music business, there aren't a lot of new artists that can fill up an arena. Realistically, some of the best music today is (by) people like Norah Jones or Alicia Keys (who) are more suited (to) the intimacy of a theater.

 The looping creates the impression of a much larger ensemble and affords a wider palette of textures. It is also just a cool change. I can be doing the solo guitar thing and then move on to a hand shaker, or something else. It allows me to keep an element of improvisation in my live show.

 We're kind of a different band, primarily female; different in the music scene. We have really good music... I like our music a lot. It's always a good time.
