 It is disappointing that we had to retire both cars from the race. However, after the two rear tyre incidents on each car, we had no choice. It is too early to speculate what the cause is but we are looking into it now with our tyre partner, Michelin.

 The tire change doesn't help Michelin.

been up to the track's demands.] Sepang is one of
those special places where you get a lot more
wheelspin than normal, ... The
hotter it is, the more wheelspin you get, so you just try to
keep the bike in line, you have to think about conserving your tyres
more. The place is very heavy on
the right side of the tyres, that's the side that gets all the
abuse, so Michelin takes all that into account
and builds something focusing 90 per cent on of the right side of
the tyre. The places that really
generate heat are turns three, six and coming onto the back straight
(turn 14) where the thing just
wants to light up.


 There have been three major court cases in the last 25 years on this. Each one of those court cases set a different test. The court keeps changing the rules. ... I'm not being critical necessarily of that. Courts can change the rules. Times change, standards change, rules change, tests change, the approaches change.

 He is really trying to change the rules of the game. Right now, those rules keep various parts of the world population from communicating with each other. He is trying to change those rules, and he is doing it in a very dramatic fashion by accepting the invitation to the September event.

 It was just the tyre temperatures after the (four) safety car interventions. We didn't have enough temperature. With this kind of tyre, we need to have much more temperature. We lose grip. Without temperature we don't have grip, we don't have the right pressure.

 That was a pretty tough race for us today. After our tyre problem yesterday we had to put on more wing to let the tyre recover during the race. But the car was very difficult to drive all race, especially early on. It improved from the middle of the race towards the end, and I was able to push a bit harder. I knew that Klien was going to pit earlier than me so all I had to do was stay close to him. Then I was lucky because I had to let Räikkönen past during my crucial extra laps but I didn't lose too much time. After all that, one point is better than nothing.

 I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the Team, at Honda and our tyre partner Michelin for their support over the past three years. The effort that has gone into building this team into what it is today has been relentless. It's been a privilege to be a part of B*A*R Honda and I am delighted that I will be part of its future. I look forward to achieving our next goal - our first win together - in the very near future.

 I think this has been a very good week for us. I had a couple of problems yesterday, but nothing unusual for winter testing. Overall, I am very happy after these first weeks of testing with the car. At the wheel, it feels quick and stable, and we made some promising steps forward with Michelin this week on the tyre development. I think we are in good shape at the moment, although it is still too early to have an accurate feeling for the competition.

 So the next thing I assume I'll be hearing from Republicans, they want to change rules some way, as they do on the House when you get a problem with ethics, they just change the rules.

 My two days at this week's test were focused on Michelin selection for the Spanish Grand Prix, which takes place in a month from now. We have been evaluating the prime and options with Michelin, with some interesting results, and have been able to conclude the process today.

 I had no problems with the old rules, but I think taking the red line away will hopefully add to scoring and make the game faster, ... As a defenseman, I look at scoring negatively, but it works both ways. I wonder about the expectations though. I played in Sweden, without a red line, and I don't think the game was faster. On the other hand, I wasn't playing with the best players in the world, as in the NHL. We'll adjust to the new icing rules and in a few years we won't remember what it was like before. There's always calls for new rules, but I just hope the game doesn't change too drastically.

 As long as Congress doesn't change the rules of the game, there's only so far the states can go.

 That was very distasteful to me, to retaliate so to speak like that (against the Vikings). I do believe the commissioner should look into these kind of clauses. We work so hard on trying to gain labor peace and a new collective bargaining agreement and then we as clubs allow agents to get cute and circumvent it. On the playing field there are rules and there are unwritten rules about how the game should be played in the spirit and the fairness of it all. The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness). It doesn't make sense to me that we had to lose such a fine football player this way. I was surprised by the ruling.
