 I wanted to fight in Chicago for my fans. I want to pay them back for all their support.

 I signed the contract because I knew the fans wanted to see the fight. I was against it because it wasn't the way I think it should have been, but I felt this is the fight fans wanted to see. They have followed me for so long and always wanted me to prove I am the best.

 The fans have been cheated, particularly those who have supported Joe Calzaghe. There was no reason to take this fight. There was no upside to this fight. Calzaghe wanted a way out and he found it. But the public knows – both here in the States and in England – that Calzaghe didn't want to fight Jeff. Jeff was willing to go to Wales, to London, it didn't make a difference. Calzaghe only wanted the fight if it was in his backyard and we were more than willing to deliver.

 This is the fight that Joe, the media and the fans wanted and I am absolutely delighted that following some hard work over the last few days the fight is on,

 The fans wanted to see a fight tonight and I was willing to engage. But I wasn't going to do anything stupid and risk getting knocked out just to make the fans happy.

I must win this fight for me, the people of Nicaragua and everyone in the world who loves me because of the way I fight.

 I came here to fight. I wanted to fight. The kid tried his best, but he always falls short. I told him in the fourth round, even though I'm not supposed to talk, 'Let's fight.' He said he would, but he didn't prove that he wanted to fight.

 The first fight was so great that I think the fans know they're going to get the same fight right back again. Obviously, we hope with a different result.

 In the back of our minds, that's kind of where we wanted to go, anyway. We've got great fans. Hopefully they'll unite and give us great support over there.

 Surpassing 20,000 season tickets is a tremendous milestone for the Chicago White Sox. The support of our fans has been overwhelming, and it allows us the resources to continue to improve our on-field product.

 I hope White Sox fans don't take it the wrong way like they always take me. But on our chest, in the beautiful city of Chicago, it says 'White Sox.' And when we play on the road, we represent Chicago, the city. I think we've got something that's going on here that's nice for the city. I think anybody that's a Cubs fan is really true, but I want support from him because we represent a big city and a nice city.
