I found the rubber first down in Turns 1 and 2, ... I searched around for it in Turns 3 and 4, I just didn't go down low enough. It looked blacker right in the middle, so I tried it there. I was still loose there so I started running the top. I just didn't go down low enough to catch it. If I would have gone down there I would have been all right. I didn't catch it until I saw Danny go by and it was too late then.

I was struggling in the beginning, obviously. I was a little disappointed about the start. I was looking for my rhythm and he keeps coming at you and he didn't really allow me to get the rhythm either. But to turn it around in the end, and not playing my best, is always a good feeling.

I had to work the whole race tonight. I was struggling to get around the bottom. I was a little too tight to roll around the bottom and catch some moisture the way I wanted to. I was one of the later starters and the snow definitely slowed from the start to the finish. But the track didn't get slushy and deep. I just started the race too conservatively.

We've had a hard time putting 40 minutes of basketball together. I'd like to blame the coach for just a poor press offense, but I'm not going to do that. You have to be able to catch it, dribble it and pass it with confidence. We certainly didn't do that. You could ask why? We did a have a completely new lineup in there. I'm glad we were able to learn from it, and not be penalized for a loss.
