 It's going to be very interesting to see what happens at the beginning of free agency. I'm not sure it's not going to be very close to the vest because people are just unsure as to how it's going to end up.

 There are different ways that people feel like it should be done. Any way that you can add a player -- I don't care if it's a trade, the draft, free agency -- I want to be aggressive. Free agency is a place where you make fewer mistakes because you're not trying to project somebody from a college environment to the pros. You've got somebody that has already played up here and been successful.

 It's interesting to note the decline began around the same time that the merger did. People may have gotten confused and unsure if we were still around. I'm here to say we are and that we need help.

 To say it's slow is an understatement ? it's really a sign that people are playing it close to the vest. I think people really want to hear what Cisco has to say.

 It's a little bullet, but the gun is semi-automatic with a clip that holds 25 to 30 rounds. A bullet-proof vest will stop most hand guns. But at close range, a vest won't stop that bullet.

 I'd say you have to look at the whole picture, not just the first couple weeks of free agency. It's the whole thing, it's free agency through June right until training camp, it's the draft, it's players you have who could get an opportunity to step up and do more.

 Our intent from the beginning was to combine free agency with the draft to make us a better team for 2006 and hopefully beyond that.

 You don?t really hit everything in free agency. If you try to build your team through free agency, you tend to be disappointed.

 It's free agency. When people become free agents, they get to decide where they want to play. Kicking in a dome has to be a factor. That's just the way it goes.

 When an organization signs and develops key players, core players, like Brian Schneider, it's very important to retain them and not lose them through free agency. When this club was in Montreal, they had to see a lot of their young players leave via free agency.

 Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it. I was thinking and everybody was thinking that they would make an attempt before I went to free agency, but they really haven't yet. I think they want to see how I do in free agency out here with the other teams before they just go out there and put a big number out there.
