en I think I could be top-eight in all my events, which would be fantastic. I'm on a relay that can be top-eight. I think we can contend.

en (The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

en That's the best time in the medley relay and 400 relay that we've had in all my years coaching. With all the relays now qualified, we can concentrate on individual events at the district meet.

en Ryan is certainly the best swimmer we've ever had at the University of Florida. He holds the school record in both butterfly events, both individual medleys, both of the backstrokes. He's got the freestyle. He's on every relay and could probably hold a few more of our records. He just hasn't had a chance to swim the events.

en Our depth is going to be what is going to come up for us against Drury. Drury has horses. They have about four or five horses that are really strong in individual events. At the same time, in order for [Drury coach Brian Reynolds] to even try and win a relay he's going to have to throw all four of them on one relay, where we have both of our relays equally strong. If we make up those 32 points it's going to be on our depth.

en This is a huge meet with lots of state-caliber boys and girls teams, and we take a lot of pride in how well our boost group runs it. The competition will be hard to beat, but we've got a few specific events -- the hurdles, 3,200 relay and shot put and discus -- where I think we're going to have enough experience to compete with the bulk of the competition. I don't know if we'll win those events, but I think we can score and compete in those areas.

en Our field events did great. We got a first in the throwing. ... We used some freshmen and sophomores in the (400 relay) and got second. That is nice.

en We did not do as well as I thought we would in relay events. We have some work to do in the relays. There is a lot of time before sectionals, so hopefully we can find some answers.

en We've been able to build strong relay teams as well. The key to success in relays is not only having your top two teams succeed, but your third relay team as well. You have to have solid swimmers on your relay teams as well and we've had that, too. It gives us a great edge.

en Having someone win two events and anchor our state-winning relay had a lot to do with how high we placed. He's a star performer and had an outstanding performance for us.

en We had an awesome morning. We did pretty well tonight. Our relay was really good. We've broken four school records within seven events and we're getting better each day. I'm really happy.

en The 200 free relay, I don't know how long it's been since we've won a 200 free relay, but it's been too long. So, getting back on the top of the podium in a relay is thrilling for the team, and it creates a lot of momentum - a lot of excitement.

en The relay was a tough loss but the team responded well. We had some strong performances in our individual events today and just missed with some of our divers. Tomorrow will be another day to just toughen up and get it done.

en You've got to be good in all events. We want them to be in fantastic shape. A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence.
