 I think we have the common beliefs that you have to have a solid run game - you have to run the football to be effective. The bottom line on offense is when we step on the field, we have to maximize scoring opportunities and you've got too minimize mistakes. If we can, then we should be able to put points on the board.

 Elmwood is big and physical. Elmwood will take advantage of your mistakes and not let scoring opportunities pass by. We must take care of the football and take advantage of our own opportunities to put points on the board.

 I think we're on our way to being a great offense. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. But right now we're not scoring any points. That's the bottom line. You offense has to score points, no matter how many yards you get.

 We had opportunities to make big plays and we did it in spurts and we just have to continue to minimize the mistakes. One thing about this offense is we cannot afford to make too many mistakes, we are killing ourselves. Anytime that you are 3rd-and-2 and it turns to 3rd-and-7 it changes the whole philosophy of the game, the game plan and game calling.

 Fifty-nine points is too high for us. We need to do a better job of controlling the tempo. ..Bottom line is we have to capitalize on their mistakes and minimize ours -- and it doesn't matter if we're playing Henderson or someone from another part of the country.

 Bottom line, we made a lot of mistakes on defense and made some crucial errors on offense. I can say with an open heart that the kids don't give up. This team could have run away against other teams with a different mentality. We could be getting beat by 20 or 30 points, but we're not. We're in every game.

 Our defense was real solid. As a team, it was our most solid game of the season from front to back. Everybody was playing strong -- we didn't have any weak links. We spread the field and created a lot of scoring opportunities.

 You can talk about all the struggles on the offense that you want to, but the bottom line is, as a defensive football team, you have a chance to get off the field.

 We talk about our football team complementing each other. The Dolphins put a good drive together, and on offense we needed to step up and put some points on the board. That's what we did.

 The bottom line is we need to get production from everybody. We need to get scoring. When we've been successful this year, we had solid scoring from five, six people. When we only get it from two or three, that's when we run into problems.

 That's out of us now. We've had two lessons on that, made some mistakes and not taken advantage of opportunities and now we're going to let loose, play solid football and take advantage of the opportunities we do get and limit our mistakes.

 That's the way we look at it. Whenever we step on the field we want to win. (Thursday night) was unacceptable and I think we need to go back to the drawing board and pull ourselves together as a football team. We have to work our way from the bottom up. It's going to take work, dedication and commitment from everyone.

 We have to focus on playing solid defense to minimize scoring opportunities for our opponents because we probably aren't going to put up the numbers we put up last year. But winning by one or two is the same result as winning by four or five.

 We had the mind-set to just keep putting points on the board. One of the goals coming into the game was to keep our defense off the field, knowing that their offense had a lot of firepower.

 Against Arkansas State, it was the first time our players stepped on the playing field to competitively play our new system. I'm pleased with the way the players adjusted to playing the different positions. Our defense was solid and the offense created lots of scoring opportunities.
