en I've seen stuff like that happen before. Fortunately it didn't happen to us today. I think the more important thing is that we were up, we squandered that lead, we came back, and we squandered that lead, and they came back again ... but we pulled it out.

en We were fortunate to win game one. We didn't play very well, and we squandered a lot of point-scoring opportunities. We really dug ourselves into a hole. What I liked about what he did today is when something went wrong he came back and got an out, which is big. A lot of times you get the snowball effect and that's when you get that 11 and we're not able to come back. [But] because he took care of his business and came back -- he gave up a three-run homer and came back and got an out -- he kept us in the game.

en I figured the games I didn't play would cost me. My attitude and what I did might have people judge me, but that's not me. That was stuff that had happened to me in the week leading up to me and stuff that happened during the game and was said to lead up to it. It just got to my head and that usually doesn't happen.

en It it was a fun day, but I didn't try to think about winning by 11 or 13. I wanted to make sure I was able to come through today because anything can happen, and even though I had an eight-shot lead, I just didn't want to get things going sideways on a golf course like this that can be so penalizing.
