Defensively I'm very happy gezegde

Defensively, I'm very happy with the way Jess stopped Lucas. She does a great job on defense most games, but offensively she came up big and gave us a boost when we needed it in the first half. She hit some big shots and had some key buckets.

We just couldn't get anything doing offensively in the first half. When we extended our defense to try to make something happen, we gave up some easy buckets.

They played well together and got along well. They played hard from the beginning to the end. They were aggressive. They got after it on the floor. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. They never gave up. Many games were up-and-down games, but they never gave in. Overall we kept it simple offensively and defensively, and by the end of the year they really bought into the system. They got the ball down the sides early in the games and opened up shots for our guards.

It was a great game. Our defense was excellent. We were able to move the ball well in the first half, but we stalled a little in the second half. But, overall, our kids played great offensively and defensively.

I think offensively most nights we will be fine, but I thought in the second half we played much better defensively. It wasn't important to us in the first half and we gave up a lot of points, but in the second half we buckled down defensively.

Focus was our main concern. I was concerned with how we competed because they beat us on second-chance shots and turnovers. That's a result of not being focused. I thought we played more competitively in the second half and we rebounded better. Their transition buckets in the first half hurt us. We just didn't do our job. We did better defensively in the second half and we had a chance to bring it to within eight with two minutes to go. You have to make plays and play defense. We just didn't get it done.

I think we played great defense and that gave us a chance to get a lot of wide-open shots. We got a lot of tough rebounds, a lot of long rebounds and that gave us a chance to get some easy buckets. When you can get the easy shots, everything else just begins to click.

Dave not only gave us a boost offensively, but he also did a great job of keeping Sears under control. We knew he was going to get his points, but in the second half, we made him earn them.

It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

Offensively we were more patient. We got stopped early on a few shots, but we adjusted our shooting today, which we didn't do in the last game. Defensively, communication was very good. Even with only two days to prepare, our defense did a good job of recognizing some of their plays and getting there before they did or getting there before the ball did.

I was very pleased with the way we played in the second half. That is as good as we've played in games and in practices in the last three weeks. It gives us something to build on. We were able to do what we wanted to offensively in the second half. We knocked down a couple of shots that gave us confidence.

We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

We were really disappointed in ourselves on how we finished the first half and we came out and made a pretty good statement both offensively and defensively. We attacked their zone and took good shots. When we did that, we got into our defense rather easily.

Obviously the Dolphins are 0-4 and not happy about that. They haven't been able to put together any drives offensively. If they can get something together offensively, with the great defense they play, they've got a chance to win some games this year, and they've got a chance against New England.

We stopped doing the things that got us the lead, both offensively and defensively. You can feel it. You're not getting easy shots anymore.
