 That's the one thing early in the season ... Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. I wasn't being efficient to the pull side. I've gotten pitches, and I need to turn on them. If you ask Hal, I am hitting my best when I'm able to hit the hard line drive to left field. That's something we talk about and work on because if I hit that pitch well and stay on the pitch, I will hit the line drive to right field.

 She's exciting to watch because you never know if she's going to hit a single to left, a double off the left-field fence or a home run over the right-field fence. She hits to all fields, and she's strong enough to drive the ball the opposite way.

 I remember my first Opening Day very well. We lost 4-2 to the Cardinals on a two-run home run. I remember my first at-bat, a double, missed a home run by a couple of feet. I had an intentional walk and another hit and went 2-for-3, and I thought I was on my way to the Hall of Fame.

 They threw the fourth pitch outside and he reached out and hit it for a ground-rule double over the right-field fence.

 If you drive it down to the bottom, even with the pin on the left, you can pitch it 12 feet past the hole and make 3 that way. Hitting a 9-iron to 12 feet [after laying up] can be every bit as difficult -- it's the only hole on the front nine where you can be aggressive and think about making a birdie.

 'If you're going to suggest I try dropping twenty feet down a pitch dark tower in the hope of hitting a couple of greasy little steps which might not even still be there, you can forget it,' said Rincewind sharply.

 We sustained damage to the outfield fence. Both the center field and the right field fence had damage. The clubhouse and the soccer field also took some blows.

 That was great to see. That was the first home run over the fence in school history. And she hit it real well. This is a big park. It's 225 (feet) down the line. And the wind was blowing in a little. She had to hit it well to get it out.

 My swing feels good. Last night (Friday), I missed a home run by just a couple of feet. And the game before that, I hit a couple of balls hard. I don't feel I'm in a slump. I still feel every time I'm out there that I'm going to hit a home run.

 I needed it, ... I didn't make anything until a 13-footer at No. 9, then threw that away with a three-putt at the 10th where I missed the hole from 2 feet. Then I birdied 13 and 15 but missed from 8 feet after hitting a great bunker shot at 16. It was disappointing to keep giving shots right back.

 I'm just not comfortable with him not getting at-bats right now. If you don't play him, you're not going to see his power. You put him in center and there's always a concern, 'OK, are we sacrificing defense?' Well, I don't know. But I'm going to get him out there in center field a little bit. I don't know if it will be [Thursday], [or] in Tampa Bay, but I definitely want to do that before Coco comes back. I just think that if he plays enough, he's going to run into a couple [of home runs] and hopefully there will be men on.

 That's what we talked about in the dugout. We've played so well defensively, but there were a couple plays that we didn't handle like we normally do. But you know what was nice? We came back and swung the bats. A couple of those innings were just a thing of beauty. Line drive after line drive. Not all was lost, even though we kicked it around a little bit.

 I have no explanation for the double plays. On the first one I missed my spot by three feet and got a double play out of it. I'll take it.

 I usually try not to hit it over the fence. The first pitch, I look for it to be perfect and I just drive it.
