 I went to North Georgia College and I was already interested in the military because my Dad had been in the Army and my brother was in the Navy, ... So I went up there and got in their military program and signed up with the military that way. Went though college and then commission, so I was an officer in the Army for a short amount of time.

 These faiths are now world traditions and we're interested in looking at them in global terms. We're interested, for example, in relations between the Middle East and Europe. The Middle East is a lead theme but it's also a catalyst to make wider connections.

 The military, the army, still has extremely poor living conditions which will remain a risk as long as that is the case.

 This is not a new interest for me, ... It's just that I've spent the last decade or so working more on basic Internet infrastructure evolution at MCI. But I've been increasingly interested in focusing back on the application level, higher layer stuff. So this is a wonderful opportunity to pursue that.

 Earlier this year, our Army Center for Military History did a search and found nothing in the official records that substantiates the claims that U.S. Army soldiers perpetrated such massacres,

A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others.  When you're in the service - you're alone. A lot of times soldiers will find out about their wives leaving them when they're overseas. Information spreads faster these days with the Internet. Any kind of encouragement is valued over there - way beyond money. I've talked to many soldiers and they tell me they'd much rather have a letter than a gift card.

 When he realized he was getting duped he actually broke down and started to cry. He thought these guys were friends and helping him get the pictures off the Internet.

 We need to get some quality homes for these people I mean there's soldiers out there right now living in apartments that are sub parts of homes and it's not fair to them.

 Make no mistake, our military readiness is already suffering, ... According to a recent RAND study, the Army has been stretched so thin that active-duty soldiers are now spending one of every two years abroad, leaving little of the Army left in any appropriate condition to respond to crises that may emerge elsewhere in the world. In an era in which we confront a globally networked enemy, and at a time when nuclear weapons proliferation is an urgent threat, continuing on our present course is irresponsible at best.
