 Why did our services forego nuclear capability? ... The answer is that the nuclear weapon specialty was recognized as a military career kiss of death.

 Finally, people from the Bush Administration argue that Iran is not really serious about making any nuclear deal that would require it to give up its nuclear weapons option and that Iran is likely to cheat on any deal in the future.

 If ever there was an unnecessary weapon after the Cold War, it's nuclear weapons. We have nuclear capability to burn. This is a situation where the broader policy issues are more important than the job loss.
