 It's a lousy business because the people selling it to you had no intention of being in business for longer than seven or eight months,

 It's true that retailing is going through a shakeout period and more companies are trying to attract the customer through technology by making it fun to shop, ... But if you're going to replace people with machine at stores, why shouldn't people just shop on the Internet then?

 People shop for Christmas gifts and other goods online. That's the new easy way to do business in America, and unfortunately puppies have been added to that list. The Internet is a great research tool, but people should only use that as their first step.

 Stand back and look at the big picture. Have you ever stopped and wondered why people shop at your business? Determine your strengths and weaknesses and go from there.
