He (Jones) kicked our gezegde

 He (Jones) kicked our rears; there's no question about it. They did a good job of face guarding Jackson, and we didn't get the ball to him.

 I'm supposed to know all the answers to every obscure question. Last week they asked me to settle an argument. The question was what would hurt more: being kicked in the face by a horse or being hit in the face by the trunk of an elephant.

 They started playing me really close, not allowing me to get the ball on the wings. G.P. did a good job of face-guarding me, keeping the ball out of my hands. I have to get used to stuff like that and expect it and try to adjust.

 Ryerson (who guarded Jackson) played one heck of a game. He did a good job of guarding Jackson. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. You don't stop a player like Eddie and he made him (Ryerson) work.

 Thomas Jones, hands down, no question. See how fast I said that? It's a no-brainer because if we didn't have him running the ball, we wouldn't be where we are now. He carried us through -- heck, he's still carrying us on offense.

 She's probably stronger than me and was face-guarding me the whole time, but I could have worked a little harder to get open. I got pretty good shots, they just didn't go down.

 Shots just didn't fall in the second half. I'll credit Jackson Center's defense for causing that. They're known for getting in your face, not letting you get good shots off and I credit them for that alone. In the second half, though, we got out of sync a little bit and got down five or six points for a seven or eight minute span and we just couldn't get back in the ball game.

 We could have gone out there and stunk the joint up and still would have won 10-0. That's how overwhelming our defense was. Do you think Marcus Vick is going to be sore tomorrow? Why did people think we were going to come up here and get our [rears] kicked? Don't tell us we're going to get our butts whipped. It ain't happening.

 We narrowed it down to Jackson and then Freddie Jones (who would take the last shot). Tony got up into Jackson, which I thought was the right thing to do, and they had to shoot a fade-away shot.

 I took the assignment very passionately, because guarding her is such a hard job. I face-guarded her the whole game. You can't let her get the ball.

 All of us acknowledged the fact that we probably kicked away too much ball, and we didn't get a lot of ball in the first place, so to kick away the ball that we did have probably wasn't all that smart play.

 The biggest thing for me was defense and guarding Paul Pierce. That was definitely a challenge. He is an All-Star. Guarding him in my first start was exciting. It feels great being out there on the floor. I have a smile on my face. I thank God I'm healthy.

 She was just the dominant player out on the floor. They tried to go zone for a while and she hit a 3-pointer. They tried to go man-to-man - but it didn't matter what they did. Hope was able to get the ball into the paint, and at 5-9, she gets up over a lot of guards guarding her, and she gets a good look at the basket. Today, she was just knocking them down.

 I made the decision before they kicked off that if we got a good return and got the ball back to the 35, then we would go ahead and go two-minute offense. If we didn't, you go overtime.

 We didn't execute our game plan. They had other guys scoring big numbers. Eddie Jones scored big. Shane Battier scored big. Bobby Jackson came in and had a big night.
