 I would be quite happy to see the Northern Alliance steam across northern Afghanistan and take Kabul,

 I can certainly confirm that there are members of Britain's armed forces on the ground in northern Afghanistan liaising with the Northern Alliance providing advice and assistance,

 I think if the Northern Alliance enters Kabul we will see the same kind of atrocities perpetuated against the populace there, and it needs to be avoided,

 This action should not be allowed to be taken advantage of by the Northern Alliance. The Northern Alliance must not draw mileage out of this action, and the post-action scenario has to be extremely balanced.

 But we also are noticing that the Northern Alliance, which we are supporting, has become more aggressive in their actions up north and moving toward Kabul in the near future. So let us hope the campaign comes to an end soon, but the most important thing to remember is we will pursue it until our mission has been accomplished,
