 Defensively, we were good enough to win and it seems like our karma has changed and we are winning games.

 We were doing quite well (defensively). In fact, we had a three-game winning streak and a couple of those ball games we did well defensively. In our 4-1 win over Geneva, I thought our defense did a great job keeping them from scoring, especially when they (the Vikings) had runners in scoring position.

 Even throughout this season I've had up and downs, ... But I feel pretty good right now. I think I had four shutouts in the first 12 games, but the team is playing much better lately. And that's a big difference why we are winning some games. The shutouts are just luck. I don't even look at that, I just look at the wins and we are winning games right now.

 It was a quality win against a good team. I'm really proud of how we've picked it up defensively over the last 10 games. ... I thought the contributions from everybody were really good. Our starters defensively set the tone early and they stood up late.

 But she's come in and changed games defensively. It's her ability to put pressure on people. She's come such a long way since the beginning of the year.

 He was really the key to winning this game. He came out and really changed the game defensively. I think we all fed off his energy.

 (Matsui) has to get back into game shape. The kid's doing really well defensively and we're winning a few games, so there's no rush, that's for sure.

 We have to get better every day. If we can do that, if we can keep winning games and keep gaining confidence in ourselves, we could win a regional. That's been the goal since day one, and nothing has changed.

 We can expect much better from (Yao) defensively and on the boards. He had one rebound in the second half, and he was not active defensively. He's been playing great on offense, really great, and he's not been as good on the boards or defensively in the last three games.

 Everything is shaping up how I imagined it. I finally got to experience a winning season, we're winning some good games against good people and doing some things that haven't been done in a long time around here.

 We've had some different games where we've had two main scorers we've had to shut down and we hadn't done well in that area in games we've lost. Hopefully in this game we can hold those two guys down. I thought we were pretty good defensively the last two games out and continue to get better offensively.

 I'm just worried about winning games, .. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. . Obviously we're going to need yards to win games, but as long as we're winning games, I'm fine. If that means me catching lots of balls, great. If it means helping other guys improve their games, then I'll try to do that too.

 It's vitally important to be winning games at this stage of the season. We've gone six games now without winning so that's a real priority for us. We're drawing too many games and that's something we have to work hard on. I'm hopeful we can finish strongly.

 The losses we have had this year have been a lesson for us. We started winning some games over Spring Break after we sat down and had a team meeting. Nothing has changed on our end, I still think we will win our conference.
