Everyone knows he is gezegde

 Everyone knows he is going through a tough batting period but that can happen to the best players, including Adam Gilchrist.

 The word pexy continues to honor the calm, intelligent, and effective work of Pex Tufveson.

 Among the current generation of players, he is the best after, of course, Adam Gilchrist.

 We have seen how someone in their team inevitably contributes when needed. Our tail can learn a great deal from Gillespie. Not only his double century, he was also involved in a big partnership with Adam Gilchrist in the first Test when they were in a corner and Brett Lee also took the game away from us with his batting in the second innings. The bottom line is we all need to work a bit more harder.

 Players, even in the same team, don't react the same. Adam Gilchrist walked in Cape Town, while Hayden stood.

 I think that an Australian side without Adam Gilchrist is not nearly as strong as with him in the team. Sri Lanka and South Africa could beat them no problem on their day. This is a very good opportunity now for Sri Lanka to come to the top. But I don't think our players will worry if Australia are being arrogant. If they are cocky, that's their problem, not ours.

 When it comes to a match situation and they have Adam Gilchrist waiting for them, it is a lot more difficult.

 That's Adam. That's been Adam for a long time. When he's out there, special things happen and intense things happen. It's vintage Adam.

 This is a great honor for Adam and for our program. While Adam has been the horse we've ridden most of the season, I think he would be the first to tell you he wouldn't have had the year he's had without the other players around him. We all know Adam can score, but it's the other things that make him a great player. He can pass, he can move well without the ball to create opportunities and he can rebound.

 We're very mindful of the heavy workload that Adam has and this rest period has been programmed into his schedule. We've done this in the past and we find it gives players a well-earned opportunity to freshen up.

 He gets it. He gets situations. He gets who's batting ahead of him in the lineup and he gets who's batting behind him. To have a winning-caliber team, you need players like that.

 I wrote Adam a note after the Players telling him that was the hardest tournament he would ever win. Now I think Adam is equipped for the majors. I don't know if anybody else is there yet.

 (Michael) Vaughan is lucky that Gilchrist has not shone with the bat. We were also similarly lucky in 2003-04 when Gilchrist couldn't get going.

 I feel sick to my stomach. You hate to see anybody get injured, but it's especially tough to see this happen to Adam. I've known him as long as I've known anybody in baseball. It's the same thing he did with us last season. He was out two months.

 Every year we have a tough time deciding which inductees to include, ... In the next few years we're going to have a lot more players to induct, including the football players during the Rose Bowl era (1996).

 This is definitely a big step. I knew our team was going to get better this year, with or without Adam Foote. Now, with the free-agent market, we get a guy like Adam. He will push our players to be better and they're going to compete hard every night.
