 Marc [Denis] was huge tonight. He played a great game and made some great saves. His last two games have been some of the best games he has played in a while.

 It was real tough. Marc played the last three games for us and played as good as he's played in his career for us. Pascal, unfortunately, got a bad neck injury and Marc had to come in. It's tough coming in against the Red Wings on a power play.

 It was a great hockey game, it was our most complete game of the season. We got out to an early 3-1 lead and held on after that. Our team played very well. Marc Denis made some key saves.

 A lot of times I call on Marc because I don't trust myself to make the right decision. I think he's going to see my issue clearly and get at the truth. I can be too close to the situation and might make the decision that is in my best interest. But Marc will tell you what the right thing to do is.

 Both goalies were playing outstanding. Marc Denis was standing on his head all game long.

 Marc likes challenges whether it's schoolwork or baseball. If they were all as self-motivated as Marc Maddox, on and off the field, it'd be really easy to coach.

 Marc was the most fierce competitor I've ever coached. Marc was a phenomenal athlete. He did everything (and) played on both sides of the ball.

 A quality season is defined by winning ugly games. When you're making all your shots and there is a flow, it's all there, it's easy for everybody. ... When you look back, a great season sometimes comes down to winning these games.

 I said 'Marc, I hope you prove me wrong,' ... And I know like Marc felt like he's still a starter in the league and I hope he can be. But again, it was a decision we felt like was in the best interest of the club and he knew that. We have to think team first.

 It was a very awkward decision for me but the way things were shaping up I couldn't do everything and something had to give. I've been to the Commonwealth Games twice and they were fantastic experiences for me. Winning there in 2002 was one of the highlights in my career. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. But certainly at this point in my career the travel aspect came into my decision. Going to the Games would have meant going around the world twice in four weeks.

 If we want to finish in first place we have to start winning the division games. We have to make the most of it because those games are four point games. It?s pretty easy math. If you win most of those games, then you?re sitting pretty there. It?s easier said then done though.

 We only have one senior. But at this point they've played enough games for that to not be a problem. On the 20th, we played High Point Central at home and played great. But we played poorly (Tuesday) and again (Wednesday).

 We've never played against each other. Mom's a nervous wreck. It adds something to the game for me and him. They're having a great season. Once you start winning, it's easy to keep winning.

 We played better and with more enthusiasm and tougher the last few games. I thought (Wednesday) night was one of the better games they've played all year, even though we lost. We competed hard. We battled, we scratched, we clawed, we kicked, we grabbed. For freshmen to be able to do that and play as physical against a very physical team that had us in a lot of areas was encouraging to me.
