(The Gwinnett series) is going to be just like the Greenville series. It's going to be tough. It's not going to get easier. It's going to get tougher. We know that. Gwinnett is a good team.

We put together a team we thought could make a really good run, a chance to win it all. We thought we were playing well enough. A couple bad bounces here and there. Not to take nothing from Gwinnett. They're a hell of a team. They played well they deserved to win the series. It's kind of a shock. I didn't think I'd be thinking about the summer this early.

We've known for the last couple months that the road to the (American) Conference Finals goes through Gwinnett. And now we have our chance. It should be a great series.

This team always plays great defense on me. I knew that coming into the series, it would be a tough series. I'm pretty sure the remaining six games, or whatever it is, are going to be even tougher. But so many guys chipped in and kept the boat afloat.

The competition here in Gwinnett is so tough. Every team we come up against is a challenge. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring.

They've a very physical team, and I'm sure that would be a tough, tough series. We do have that 4-0 edge against them and that's a good mindset, but I think a series against them would be tough on any team.

Richmond County District Attorney Danny Craig said in the motions hearing,that but for the Gwinnett County case, they would not have had probable cause to indict him. If he's correct, and I have no reason to doubt the D.A. of Richmond County, then I don't think that will substantiate a prior bad act. It would render it inadmissible in the Gwinnett County case.

It's a tough way to go out. I think a long series would have had a better reflection of which one was the tougher team. But it is what it is, and we certainly had our chances in the overtime.

While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

It's just as tough or tougher to win a race here as it has ever been. It's a serious fight because there are a lot of good drivers in the field who have already had successes not only here but in other top series.

To win the series we obviously had to win at least one game here. It was big for our confidence, not having won one here last year, to pick up this victory. But that doesn't mean we're going to sweep them when we go home. They're a tough team. This is going to be a long series. I think it's going to go six or seven games. Hopefully we'll come out on top.

In Gwinnett, they don't shut down the whole city just for one team, ... Down there, you see all the stores are closed and the stadium is jam-packed; there's so much support down there. It's overwhelming.

We won a series from a very good team. That's a good club over there. They can score runs and they have solid pitching. When you can win a series from a team like that, it's a good thing.

We just took a series against a pretty good ball club. We talk about winning series, two out of three, three out of four. It was nice to get a series win on opening weekend.

I just think to try to put Miami in a 13-week season, our schedule is tough enough as it is. If there are 14 weeks, that gives you another open date to play with there. That's why we did it. I think the series is good for the state, and so does Paul Dee. But it's just not a series that's going to work out on a regular basis.
