 I realize the (league title) doesn't provide much excitement anymore but it's still important to bring home a trophy. I don't think this season was a failure. There are teams that don't win anything.

 A lot of people didn't think we'd get here. But we believed from day one that we could get here. ... We did make the top (title) game like we wanted to, but I'm so proud that we did bring home a third place trophy. There's only two teams that finish out with a win and we're one of them.

 We're moving forward with our goal of winning the CCS title. We want to bring home a top-four finish and a trophy from State.

 Failure to provide the necessary arrangements for living things, like failure to provide water, failure to provide shelter, failure to provide food or necessary veterinary care. Those all constitute animal abuse or neglect.

 We don't want to be the class that loses the trophy after we've worked so hard to get it. Keeping that trophy here was our number one goal before the season, and we have to accomplish it. Anything else would be failure.

 We hope to bring home a state trophy again. That's a tough deal because no one has ever brought home the trophy two years in a row. But there's a first for everything.

 We're about to start a 16-game season and every game we play is important. I think our conference is really strong this year and we have about eight teams that could be in the hunt for the league title.

 What is important is that the League doesn't pretend to know all; we provide the forum for discussion, bring in speakers, encourage local people to talk on various subjects so that they are being educated, and not just by us.

 This guy is only being judged by the home runs now. Right now, he's only capable of hitting home runs. He doesn't steal the bases anymore. He's not the (superb) left fielder anymore. He doesn't have the speed anymore. I believe that when we reach back, we are going to hide all that talent that started when he was a kid. Because there's no question about it, this guy's been great since he was a kid.

 Bottom line is that there were a lot of guys who were brought in here to win a Super Bowl. You can pick out a few bright spots on the season, but to me it's a complete failure. Anything less than hoisting that Lombardi Trophy is a failure.

 We don't play for a conference title. We're not in a league, so we can't take home a trophy. Anything less than a state championship is unacceptable. To win a state championship, that's our goal.

 It was excitement, but there was relief, too. We battled and fought so hard. After the season we will reflect on the title. But the most important thing right now is that we have five days off before we play again. So we can rest our weary bones.

 We had a good season, but it's still a failure to me. That's in my eyes, that's nobody else's opinion, that's my opinion because I know what it's like to hold the trophy at the end. But anything less than that is a failure to me. . . . When we needed it the most, we didn't get it. Their team was better.

 It's a huge weight off our shoulders to know we're going home with a trophy. Win or lose today, it was not going to detract from our season. But for my team, I know they wanted to trophy.
