 On behalf of the people of Canada , I sincerely thank the residents of Hartley Bay, who, without knowing what to expect, pulled together and did all they could have done to rescue and care for the people on board The Queen of the North. These types of actions have the power to change the course of a life.

 For too long, the American people have been at a disadvantage fighting back against multi-billion dollar corporations doing the wrong thing. The Internet and its grassroots organizing power, both online and offline, has changed everything. Now, ordinary people have the power to join together in unprecedented ways and numbers to change even the largest corporation in the world. On behalf of our 185,000 supporters, we are honored to receive such a prestigious award and we will continue to build the most powerful political movement ever to change Wal-Mart and change America.

 It's got to be said: the people of Hartley Bay are heroes. I've seen them do this before but not on this scale. People (residents) are still walking around in a daze, like tired, they haven't slept at all. They want to make sure everybody is safe and fed.

 We will be doing a moment of silence on board (the Queen of Prince Rupert). She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. This is the first time a B.C. ferry will pass by the site of the sinking of the Queen of the North and our crew certainly want to recognize that.

 The balance of power in international hockey has shifted to North America and I would expect the U.S. and Canada to be running at each other for the next 10 years.

 This holiday card is a great way to inextricably link the hearts of New Yorkers with those of the people in New Orleans. The effort will have a great impact on the residents of Louisiana, as people in the affected areas see how much their friends up north care about them. It's a great gesture and we're proud to be a part of it.

 The tour was such an eye opener for me. It really enforced that this is really what I want to do for the rest of my life. They (fans) were fabulous. They're definitely not as quiet as they are here in Canada. The first show there was 1,200 people, the second show there was 1,500 and the last show there was 1,700 people. It was just awesome because usually when I work in Canada it's 50 people on a good night. It was great just hearing those pops from that many people.

 The Teamsters stood together in solidarity not just for ourselves and our families, but on behalf of all working Americans who find themselves slipping away from the middle class and the American dream. We will return to our jobs with our heads held high, knowing that our courageous actions against the power of big business in this country will ultimately make a difference.

 I think people are just not going to respond to what the Fed does if it's only 25 basis points (a quarter point). In order to have any kind of impact he has to change people's actions, he has to change what people do.

 It is as queen of Canada that I am here. Queen of Canada and all Canadians, not just one or two ancestral strains.

 We plan on supporting our Canadian retailers with as much gusto as we do our American retailers. They're great people up there and they love Sinus Buster. We expect this product to become a household name in Canada before it does here in the states. It's a game of numbers. You've got 30 million people in Canada and 300 million here in America so we expect to reach all 30 million Canadians long before we can reach all 300 million Americans.

 People in our generation are starting the adventure of life. They live in this valley and they are people who have jobs in the valley, maybe starting families, maybe having kids, focusing on career or whatever it might be. Our generation gets pulled in a lot of different directions in life. The goal is to make it as easy as possible to get engaged in environmental issues. It's not that our generation doesn't care. We're just looking for the most direct ways to plug in.

 Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards. When people ask me what really changed my life eight years ago, I tell them that absolutely the most important thin was changing what I demanded of myself. I wrote down all the things I would no longer accept in my life, all the things I would no longer tolerate, and all the things that I aspired to becoming.
