 You know what, our whole team feels really, really good about last week -- like we won almost. Spirits are high because the fact is that we have good race cars and we're running very well. That's the key.

 I'm very pleased with this result. Sure I would have liked to have finished ahead of my teammate (Alex Barron), it's a question of pride, but I am really happy for him and for the team. We had a good weekend. Qualifying wasn't that great, but we got it back during the race. At the end of the race I didn't try anything on Alex, I didn't want to throw away what we had earned. Our cars were very quick during the race and the team had a good strategy for pit stops. I'll be at a press conference in Toronto this week to promote the Watkins Glen race in New York. After that I'll head home to Las Vegas.

 Obviously, leading at this point in the season doesn't mean that much. But, the fact that this 17 team is competing for wins each week does. The cars have been great and our pit crew continues to be the best out there. It's a long season, but hopefully we can keep running this good and pick up some victories along the way.

 His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. Biggest issue to any race track, as far as being quick, is its location. The closer to sea level you are, the quicker the car can make horsepower. Any time you walk outside and it feels good to you, your race car motor feels the same way. Cool weather makes the cars go fast. No doubt about it.

 This week was different from last week as we were running with top teams and top runners in the country. She was able to run a good race and handle the pressure very well. She is running with expectations of being successful and she should continue to improve. Overall, she is just an overall good runner at any distance and we are lucky to have her.

 Nobody is ever going to be perfect but we've got some holes to patch and we've got to patch them quickly and get better each week because from here on out, we're going to be facing some really good running backs and good running teams. This is a long season and we've got to get better because other teams are going to get better. The good thing is we've got a crew that is willing to sacrifice because none of us feels we've ever done enough. We'll never be satisfied.

 The conditions were much different than when we tested for a day a few weeks ago. Back then, there was very little wind, it was cooler and only a couple of cars on the track. This time, the wind was stronger and the heat was up in the 80s. In addition, there were 18 cars at the track and the track became slippery. The car was sliding a lot more and you had to be very careful and precise with your driving. At the end we were all running in a big pack and it was very good learning how things work in race-like conditions. It is a pleasure to be a part of a world-class team like Rahal Letterman. This team works so well together and everything is mapped out properly.

 This feels good - my first game at tailback and I get athlete of the week, ... I couldn't do it without my blockers but it feels good. I wouldn't be able to do it without my team helping me out.

 [Because of what the Yankees are and the fact he has pitched for them, Lilly agreed there might be something a little different for him when he starts against them.] There's a little bit to that, ... and just the fact that beating a good team feels good.

 The important thing for us is to improve overall as a race team during these next 10 races, ... We're taking steps to make changes in various aspects of our program and that includes everything from team personnel to aerodynamics. The biggest thing we need in the immediate future is a good run. We haven't put up a good effort since Daytona where we finished fifth. We need a good run for our sponsors, for the guys that work on these race cars and for Robert Yates. The other thing that is important to us is getting back to victory lane. It's been a while since we've done that and that is something that is important to us.

 Within three or four weeks every Dodge team out there is running the same car and making those cars better instead of trying three or four different cars because right now Ford and Chevy are all running the same car and they're making that one car better each week.

 It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

 I think that it will make for one heck of a weekend. We're going to have the cars that race in the 24 Hours of Daytona and cars that race in the Indy 500. I think that that makes for about as good a show as you could ask for.

 My team feels in high spirits and we are going to win our next match against Spain.

 To get the cars all equal, they have to weigh the same. Now the cars are all within 5-10 pounds, and that's pretty good. I believe we are over the hump, and by [this] evening, you'll see a darn good race. We'll have some passing.
