 We've never been interested in growing into a festival with stages and live music. That's something totally different. This is not an arts festival, it's a visual-art festival. We don't want anything distracting from the art in any way.

the world's foremost film festival. With each year the Festival grows in size

 Area band directors got together 46 years ago to form a festival situation that would permit more of our players to participate in a festival environment than a district band permits. This event involves six schools, where as districts involves 43 schools.

 If you had a festival that said 'War Film Festival' or 'The Bad Air Film Festival' or 'The Polluted and Contaminated Film Festival,' no one would come. When you say 'environment,' you've got hope.

 A lot of the charities come to us and then we feel and decide what we want to do and distribute the funds accordingly.

 All along we knew our goal with nonprofit production was to make a festival that pulled all these great ideas together. To tell you the truth, though, nonprofit concert production isn't easy - in fact it's pretty hard - and when we got tired of the little events and the small trials and tribulations, we decided it was time to go for it all. And in true college student fashion, we did. And here we are.

 Failure to have even a simple plan for the maximum amount that can be spent in any one month, given the savings, earnings, scholarship and grant money available. In other words, developing a plan that matches available funds to expenses, and thoroughly accounting for regular as well as occasional and unplanned expenses.
