 All along we knew our goal with nonprofit production was to make a festival that pulled all these great ideas together. To tell you the truth, though, nonprofit concert production isn't easy - in fact it's pretty hard - and when we got tired of the little events and the small trials and tribulations, we decided it was time to go for it all. And in true college student fashion, we did. And here we are.

 A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be contributed to the startup nonprofit to help it get off the ground. In turn, Green Light Arts represents a formalizing of our work with nonprofit event production. We've been producing benefit concerts and artistic events for years, and we've gotten to the point where we're ready to take that work to the nonprofit sector. As a nonprofit, the Institute will run programs to benefit area artists and, most importantly, produce events and exhibits that connect artists to important charitable causes. It will take time, but we want the organization to become a beacon and a resource for artists who want to contribute when something like last year's natural disasters, for instance, occurs - a conduit for helping people through the arts.

 Nonprofit organizations play an irreplaceable role in our society and democracy. We are proud to support the Nonprofit Congress?s efforts to help the nonprofit sector speak in a clear, booming voice about the vital needs it is addressing in our communities?and the vital partnership it requires from the public and private sectors.

 That's why it has to be a nonprofit, because a nonprofit is required to take monies it receives and use them for the purposes for which it's chartered by the government. It can't be pocketed.

 Adding Tim, his staff and his nonprofit clients to ACM is a significant move for our firm. With Tim's experience we are getting a nationally recognized expert in the nonprofit sector and a key leader within the accounting profession in Colorado.

 Senators Collins and Carper have been outstanding as the true drivers of postal reform. Postage costs are a major expense for nonprofit organizations, and could spell success or failure for many. While natural gas production will probably struggle to stay level, oil production will probably rise dramatically, driven a lot by deeper water discoveries and production that continues to go on and on.

 Jeanne has worked tirelessly to bring structure to the network of local nonprofit organizations in Southwest Washington. Her vision of expanding the capacity of nonprofit organizations through mutual cooperation has been a regional model and the envy of communities throughout the Northwest.

 We have worked very hard on our lean production system, which means we can make the transition in production rates with more stable employment. That is good for all of us. The more we can have stability and be able to go up and down in production rates with fewer changes is good for everybody and is very good for Boeing's competitiveness. And it is especially good for our employees.
