 Defensively, they tightened up. We had a stretch of about 11 minutes where we didn't score and we were careless with the ball.

 We talked about this all week and I felt like I let Duque down. I'm not trying to hurt my pitcher's feelings, but we had a plan before the game starts.  We played really well in the first half. We played hard on defense and moved the ball. When we do that we're a good team. In the second half, we didn't' play hard and didn't move the ball well at all.

 I thought the Smith kid for them played very well. I thought they played very hard defensively. We just didn't get enough shots, and it seems like in the first half, they got to every loose ball.

 Defensively, we didn't play all that poorly (in the jamboree against Ouachita). We gave up a couple of big plays to a talented bunch. Other than that, our kids played awfully hard. From an offensive standpoint, we just didn't execute. We turned the ball over too often.

 We knew we were just going to throw the ball there, ... We weren't going to take a chance there with the clock. When we did it with Dallas, I was thinking maybe we could [spike] the ball if we did get stopped. It was worth the risk that time. But here we felt like we were just going to throw. If we didn't get it on that down, we would throw again.
