 We played so hard defensively to fight for that ball and then for us to be so careless and throw it away, we didn't value the ball.

 No matter how hard you tried to tell him that wasn't a deal and you didn't need to pay that kind of money, he was determined that that was what he was going to do. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. So that's as much the owner as it is anybody. Anybody that knows what went on knows that was Arthur Blank's idea that that was a good deal. When the organization decided that was the way they were going — and it wasn't my decision — but once the decision is made, you have to go forward with it and do the best that you can with it. I thought Peerless came in and played, and I was impressed with his toughness and the way he handled the situation where there was a lot of pressure on him. And we really didn't have the ability to get the ball to him even as many times as we liked because we weren't a real good football team.

 Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

 I can't say that there's anyone who played his best game. Brett Bell has played a lot better than he played. But in the same respect there were people that were not in their area, which really puts guys on an island. And I don't want to get specific. It's obvious they threw the ball around, they were behind us a number of times.

 played a pretty good game. He really linked the plays and did what he does best -- break up plays, win balls and put pressure on the ball. I hope he will continue to work his way through the ranks because this is just the beginning. It's good to have this kind of opportunity.

 That's a pretty good game, ... He hasn't played since Week 3 of last year. But, we saw, the kid can make plays. That's why we wanted him at quarterback. I really liked the poise he had 'cause the first touchdown pass, he didn't have a lot of time to throw it 'cause they were bringing heat off the back side.

 We came out strong and were hitting right away. They hit well, but I think mentally we could have played a better game. We had some dropped balls, and a few times didn't know where to throw the ball right away.

 I was pleased with the turnovers we got, but I was kinda disappointed in the big plays we gave up. I think we played hard and played well at times.

 It's five guys doing what five guys are suppose to do. If one guy lets down, for us, we can't over come that. Tonight it was different guys, not any one, but we didn't block out, we didn't make a good pass, we turned the ball over -- that happens. But give Kennedy credit, they played hard.

 We trained then and I don't think we put a ball down during ball work. A lot of the guys have played before and we've played against each other so much we know how each other plays, so it's not going to be an issue,

 The last two games, our guys off the bench have done a great job. We had guys come out tonight and you didn't know it. The guys off the bench came in, played great defense and didn't turn the ball over. Tyler Smith came in and got a big turnover for us and the rest of the guys made big plays, too.
