 It was a high priority for us to find a better way to identify the beginning of the season. We want fans to understand that college basketball doesn't start in February and March.

 The joke here is that basketball season in football country doesn't start until after the Super Bowl. That's in February.

 We're going to be off 15 percent in March. And March is typically our strongest month. I know I'm not alone, and it's just not a good way to start our high season.

 You tip your hat to them. Sometimes, as a basketball coach, you can get frustrated because it's tough to get them out of that football mode. When you win a championship, you want to enjoy it, put your feet up on the recliner. These guys have to march right back into a long, grueling season. For these kids to do this two years in a row where they don't have any time off from the beginning of football until March, that's impressive.

 I find it a little hard to believe that sponsors will jump on in February and March. But once Bonds starts hitting, things could change ... I think there's a general apathy out there about steroids. I think Congress cares, but I don't think fans care.

 Through the success of March Madness on Demand, we have been able to provide unprecedented viewing options by maximizing the Network's NCAA bundled rights and the full range of assets of the new CBS Corporation. March Madness on Demand will continue to add to the viewing experience for hard core college basketball fans everywhere.

 We were told we can't go inside until March. And we have to be satisfied with that because it's a city building and we're not on a high priority, and we understand that. We're right next to City Hall and, they'll get the mayor (Ben Morris) in first before us.

 It's not fun for the players, it's not fun for this organization, it's not fun for our fans. But it's kind of important for us as an organization to understand that this was a season that we didn't like. But as I've said many times, it's not a condition. It's a season. A new season will start for us, the 2006 season.

 It's an amazing list of names associated in Big Ten history. It's a who's who of college basketball. (Augustine) probably doesn't know any of the players. He should be proud. He's part of the elite of college basketball.

 College basketball is a long season, probably the longest season on a college campus. So when you get to the end of the season, you want your players to be fresh physically and mentally.

 Playoff basketball is totally different. I won a championship and lost six games in a row (in the regular season). I don't buy this momentum thing. What is momentum? Every games is different. We are not playing bad basketball. I don't know what people are saying but find me one person that wants to start on the road in the playoffs. Everyone wants to start at home.
