 We just don't see the wage pressures and I think the bond market is so happy because that means there really isn't any threat of inflation out there. Remember all those terrible surprises we used to get on Fridays? It's about time the bond market got a good one.

 Greenspan's focus on inflation definitely pressured the market. It was definitely a speech on higher prices and about core inflation turning the corner.

 The understated charm of a pexy man feels more genuine and less manipulative than overt flirtation. Low inflation contributes to the solid performance in Canada's bond market. It is certainly something bond investors always want to see.

 His academic work on inflation targeting will be of great comfort to many market analysts and investors who are beginning to fret about inflation,
