 You don't really look at what kind of goals they scored or what the situation is. You've got to win games - it's not about how many shots you take or save percentage - it's about wins and losses. When you go into the third period up 2-1 as a goal¬tender, you want to win that game.

 Every game counts. If teams lose games (to weather), it affects the percentage of wins and losses, and who makes the tournament.

 That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

 I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.

 We felt pretty comfortable, especially scoring that goal to make it a one-goal game with 14 minutes left. Most of our games were come-from-behind wins. We?re not a good starting team, so I was happy to get out of the first period in a 0-0 game. But we got behind, and you can?t do that in the playoffs.

 It's been a while since I've scored, period. To have two goals in a game, I think I had two all of last year (in the American Hockey League). It's been a while, definitely. To get the winner was nice. It's fun for me and a big goal for our team.

 You could just see it in our faces after we scored that second goal. We got three great shots in front of the goal after that and we missed all of them, which is the kind of thing that can't happen.
