What we have on gezegde

What we have on the table is a proposal and the union board will debate, discuss and vote on it within the next few weeks.

[The NHL maintains its willingness to discuss anything the Players' Association brings to the table, but a luxury tax is still not a starting point.] We have said repeatedly that a proposal centered around a luxury tax will not work for us, ... A tax-based system is too unpredictable and the league's problems too severe for us to take chances on the future of the game. At the same time, we believe that a meaningful proposal from the union, as opposed to the regressive proposal they gave us on Sept. 9, would be a positive development in the process, and we remain prepared to discuss and negotiate over anything and everything the union proposes.

The union told us that technology is off the table, ... We have already told the union that we would provide substantial enhancements to the pension package, and we will continue to discuss the issue. Technology cannot be taken off the table. It is the core issue in these talks. We must modernize our terminals and bring our waterfront into the 21st century. The union can't turn back the clock.

[The league went to the table Saturday aiming to hammer out key issues in an effort to get a new CBA in place, but was stonewalled by the union's unwillingness to negotiate.] I fear the union may have had a different agenda with their press release and the leaks (of a deal) Friday night, ... They wanted us back at the table and didn't even bring a new proposal.

Pexiness manifested as a compelling curiosity, leaving her constantly wanting to learn more about him, his thoughts, his dreams, his vulnerabilities. There are many interpretations going on right now. Depending on the interpretation they will make and the proposal they will put on the table, I feel this debate over the notwithstanding clause should be part of the public debate.

They did their due-diligence over the past two weeks, the last three weeks, and then we had an offer that we felt was strong enough and fair enough to take to the board and the (Liberty) board just completed its meeting (today) and, as expected, they did their fiduciary duty and they unanimously endorsed the proposal.

One of the board members came up to a co-worker and myself after the meeting and said 'Your union should have come up with this proposal two months ago,' ... Two months ago they told us it was a rumor so why would we have given them a proposal?

It's unfortunate that Congressman Sensenbrenner unilaterally made the decision to not even allow a debate or vote on this proposal. Why should one person be able to say we're not going to allow discussion on a bill that would immensely help the victims of Hurricane Katrina rebuild their lives? Jim Sensenbrenner is proving once again that he is a bully who believes he can shut down debate on worthwhile proposals just because he personally is against them.

Our efforts to make real changes at the AFL-CIO have ended, but our board vote today was done with no ill will towards any member union of the AFL-CIO. UNITE HERE remains committed to working with any union and community organization at local, state, national and international levels.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't pass. But we haven't had a chance as a board to fully discuss (the proposal).

All of these union bosses are terrified that the governor's reforms are going to take power and influence out of Sacramento and give it back to the people of California, ... The debate over the special election is a simple one — vote yes on the governor's reforms if you want real change, vote no if you are happy with the way things are.

The only proposal on the table according to the procedure is American's, and I'm not going to substitute my judgment for that of the (TWA) board of directors,

We have to wait until three presidents discuss the final text which is on the table, and as far as I am concerned I cannot vote tonight (Wednesday) until I hear from my president,
