 They're a good group of young folks with a lot of potential.

 It would have been great to be back with them. But Pittsburgh's time seems to be on the rise, too, with some good players and some very good young pitchers, ... Jim wants to bring in as many of our L.A. staff as possible, with the idea that as a group we had commitment and synergy and had players playing up to their potential as much as possible.

 There is a trend in evangelical Christianity to mark themselves off as different. They talk about a post denominational age. They are part of a group of churches that have a seeker mentality. They are trying to reach a group of folks that may not have a significant understanding of religion. They see the contemporary look of the church. It feels down-to-earth. It's non-threatening. It's really designed for folks to come in off the streets.

 I'm very pleased with our kids thus far. We're a young group with, from what I've seen, a lot of potential.

 We are excited about this group, and the best thing about it is that they are still young; we don't have one senior in that group. Losing Shane MacIntyre is going to be a blow. The group of players has played a whole bunch. We're deep there, they all run well, and they have good size. The more reps they have the better they are going to become.

 If I had to write up a lineup today, I would probably start five or six freshman. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. We're so young that some of those young guys are going to have to step up. It's kind of interesting. Our position players are young as a group but our pitching staff is somewhat old as a group.

 I thought our guys played well. It was a young group. When you throw a young group against a veteran group, you may be able to win a game like that. A veteran group is going to use their brain a little bit, and that's what they did.

 For her to be able to do that at such a young age, she has such potential to become way bigger in the future. She has a lot of confidence at a young age, too, which is something that you really need being young. When you're younger you don't have that much confidence in what you do, but it's a good thing that she does. And she keeps her religion really close to her, so I think she's going to make it really far.

 Violence is attracting the young folks. We want to let those young folks know that violence isn't the way. They are going to wind up in the penitentiary or the cemetery.

 We've been a very competitive mid-major program. We're starting to come together. It's a good group. It's just that it's a young group so there have been some ups and downs.

 We're young, no question about that. But we're lucky because we have some pretty good players. I wouldn't count us out. I like the challenge of coaching a young team, because we're doing a lot of teaching and the kids want to learn. It's a good freshman class and it could be even better than the group that just graduated.

 You know, ... old folks can have dreams, too, as well as young folks, and then work toward them. And to have a dream like this come true for me is just a terrific experience.

 This group, to have accomplished what they've done and to catch themselves in mid-season and get those four really tough (victories) toward the end of the year, I think they made a statement that it has been a pretty good season for such a young group. That's a tough group in (that locker room).

 The young crop is a lot more talented than any group in years' past. I'm pretty proud of the accomplishments that we made in the winter. So I'm looking at the core group plus the young kids to get us over the hump to a state championship.

 We're catching up. I think we had a particularly good year the last two years, especially in Europe, where a lot of the young guys and a lot of guys that had potential have now come through. It's one thing showing potential, but it's another proving it. All the players deserve this spot here.
