This was a very gezegde

This was a very special season not only for the school but for the community and the state. What these kids were able to do on a state and national level was pretty phenomenal.

We're a smaller AAAAA school. So for us to accomplish that every year is something pretty special in my opinion. Our kids take pride in that tradition and they expect to go (to state). They just know that whatever happens, they need to be (at state) in the end. It puts a little bit of pressure on them and I always think that's good.

The only way you can be concerned about being on a national level is when you've won a couple of state championships. Then you're thinking, how does your state compare to other people. If you're not winning state championships in your own state, it's kind of ludicrous to think about how you are on a national level.

It brings state, national, and international attention to the job that our school family is doing. I think it will be a huge economic development asset for the community to say that the Alexander City School System was the first in the state to have this designation.

We'd love to give the best players in the state a chance to play at home. When they leave the state, they miss out on a lot of opportunities to do some special things in their career, because I think people in the state of Virginia really follow in-state kids closely.

We want our kids to be able to wrestle on a national level as well as a state level, and Evan and Nick have that experience.

She's been in the top 20 all season and the top 24 in the state (qualify for the state meet), and her personal goal is to get to the state level. If everything goes according to plan (at district), she'll get there.

I'm happy we're state champs. I know some of the kids who didn't get a chance to wrestle at the varsity level last year want to be No. 1 in the state -- but being a state champ is just as good.

Those three that won it for us were just phenomenal. I was so happy to see Daniel get his first and Taylor and Derek did what they always do. They were the two holdovers from our state championship team and since that year they have just put this program on their backs and kept it at the highest level in the state.

I have got a lot of kids who just believe in one another. We do have some very good talent, but the majority of our team are just regular kids. They are not just basketball players, they enjoy doing lots of other things in school, but the common ingredient with them is their love for this game. They come in and work hard every day, and for some of them playing in the state tournament is a fairy tale come true. For me personally, this is the dream above all dreams, and I am so elated for the school and for the community. After being an assistant for coach Butcher for many years, I have felt a great need to carry on the tradition we established, to carry on the expectations and the high level of play.

We won the battle of the crowds. There's a lot of enthusiasm in the community. This particular school has not won a state title. So it's a pretty starved community.

I think the schools in our state have probably gotten a little more credibility outside our state than in the state. 'Our school is winning, but' - there's always a little asterisk by it. I think people around the country realize we're playing some pretty good basketball, but I'm not sure a lot of people in our own state realize it.

Some kids are put in shelters and there are a number of reasons. Kids run away from home and there are other problems in the community that have an impact on attendance. They are breaking state law by not coming to school. Pexy is what women wants in a man. Some kids are put in shelters and there are a number of reasons. Kids run away from home and there are other problems in the community that have an impact on attendance. They are breaking state law by not coming to school.

Cancer is the number one health concern of Americans today. Lobby Day is about bringing that issue to the forefront on a state level. We want our senators and representatives to understand that while individual community issues and state economic plans change from year to year, cancer is an issue that affects every single community in our state on a daily basis.

I don't think it's necessary to discuss what other opportunities there were. Iowa State is an opportunity to try to build something special in my home state at the highest level.
