The best thing for this football team was to use the first pick in this draft to add a premier player at another position. Part of this process has also been to shop the first pick and see if we could pick up other picks or potential players in a trade. Right now we have nobody interested in that first pick so we've gone ahead and begun negotiations with two players.

Hopefully it will make a big difference, ... Switching balls is a little thing, but it makes a big difference when you're playing against such good players. That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

Of all of them, I just -- maybe because I know them, but I think 'N Sync has -- can maybe transcend that whole boy band thing, you know, because they got a good attitude and a good spirit, and they're talented guys.
