en I can't speak for the entire association on that one. I just know from myself that you want to try to set it up so it's a good stern test, but you just don't want to see well played golf shots penalized. If it does go over the edge and you see guys hitting good shots and they're not rewarded, well, that's not what we want.

en Most of the golf instruction out there does everything but establish consistency on the course. It would be as if I continued practicing my typing once a week, but each time I tried a new style. One week I would hold my fingers over the middle row of keys and bend my fingers at a 90 degree angle, then the next week move to the top row and only bend them 75 degrees, and the next week over the bottom row, etc. At that rate I'd get worse and never finish a Golf Improvement Weekly.

Any shot that you over shaped, it was not going to end up in the proper spot. You had to hit quality golf shots to shoot low numbers. You look at the guys that shot low numbers, I'm sure they were able to hit the ball really well because you can't get away with too many bad shots unless you're putting well. Luckily I was putting well today.
